Our Black Belt Exam will be held on December 20th and this is going to be a very special Test. All of the candidates have been preparing very hard for the Exam and it is sure to be a spectacular event.
Black Belt Exams are very special days for the students and Instructors at Zen Dan Kwan School of Martial Arts. A Black Belt Exam is both a celebration and an inspiration. This month we have a number of special students who are candidates for the Exam. Each of these students has had a long and hard road to get to the point they are at now. There has been sweat, tears, maybe injuries and lot a of personal growth over the last few years. We are very proud of all our candidates.
There will also be a number of Black Belt students attempting their next Tip on their Belts. Black Belts have 5 pre tests, or Tips to acheive on their Black Belts before they are ready to attempt any further Dan rankings.
The Exam for Tigers will start at 1:30PM.
The Exam for Dragons, Eagles and Adults will start at 4:00PM.
Our objective in the Black Belt Exam is to make Exam as special as possible for our candidates. For this reason, there are some guidelines which we ask all our students and guests to follow at the Black Belt Exam.
* Students always show their respect and support by attending the Black Belt Exam in their correct Martial Arts uniform. It would be considered rude and disrespectful to wear casual clothes to such an important event as a Black Belt Exam
* Student do everything they can to show their support for the candidates. This means that if they arrive or leave whilst the Exam is in progress they would do as an quietly and unobtrusively as possible
* Students remember that a Black Belt Exam runs for a long period of time. For this reason bringing children under 8 years old to watch a Black Belt Exam is not approriate. It is important that the candidates have as much opportunity to concentrate as possible
* Students are as helpful as possible on the Black Belt Exam day by bringing their sparring gear and weapons with them in case they are needed to partner one of the candidates
* Students always turn their mobile phones off for the duration of the Black Belt Exam
* Students are aware that the Pro Shop is not open during the Exam as the Instructors need to concentrate on the candidates
We are going to have a wonderful Exam this month. We very much hope that all of our students will be able to come along to this Exam and share in the special experience.
