INTRODUCTION TO FREE SPARRING INTRODUCTION TO FREE SPARRING SEMINAR
THURSDAY 27TH NOVEMBER 5:30PM
Free Sparring is one of the most dramatic and dynamic aspects of training in the Martial Arts. It is in Free Sparring that the students have the opportunity to put the techniques they have learnt in class into practice in a more realistic situation.
Free Sparring is tested at Zen Dan Kwan in Black Belt Exams. It is important that students have many opportunities to develop the skills they will require for their Black Belt Exam as early as possible in their training. For this reason we encourage all senior grades to particpate in Free Sparring classes, even on a sporadic basis. From Red Belt level and onwards the student should participate in the Free Sparring Classes as a regular part of their training regime.
Free Sparring develops excellent fitness and encourgaes the student to think about their Martial Art more deeply. It is where the student discovers for themselves how effective their technique is and which technniques they need to work on to increase their effectiveness.
The seminar on Thursday 27th November is designed to introduce novice Free Sparrers to the concepts behind Free Sparring and the principles applied in Free Sparring. In the seminar students will engage in a variety of excercises and drills which will help them understand Free Sparring. The seminar will be the first step along the way to becoming an effective Free Sparrer.
Attendance at the seminar is open to any Dragon, Eagle or Adult member of Black Belt Club. For the purpose of the seminar, students will not require any Sparring Gear in order to particpate.
Please book at the front counter to attend this seminar.
